Inspiration for Baum und Pferdgarten’s spring 2026 show first struck when creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave attended an Hermès exhibition at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, back in 2023. “We actually talked about it at that time, that it could be so interesting to work with a Derby theme,” Hestehave recalled in a preview. Fast forward to today, and guests were met by a pair of ponies at Copenhagen’s Charlottenlund racetrack—before being taken to the old stables, where a makeshift runway had been constructed. Then, we were off to the races: the rain cleared just in time for a horse and sulky to gallop down the track, kickstarting the show.
