Simon Miller Pre-Fall 2020

It was a complete coincidence that a disco ball hung on the ceiling of the space that Chelsea Hansford rented to showcase their latest Simon Miller collection. The sparkly orb fit the theme of the lineup, which had a retro, vibe. Though we were in a loft in New York’s Chinatown, it felt like California in the 1970s, complete with classic rock playing in the background. The clothes, which are modeled by Tallulah Willis in the look book, popped with trippy prints, jewel tones, and mod-ish silhouettes. Hansford walked through the collection like a kid in a candy store, loving on the snakeskin-leather flares and matching jacket, the striped round-toe platform boots, and the mirrored bags.
